An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Bradford Theatres as Programme Manager, with a particular emphasis on the development of St Georges Hall following a period of closure for refurbishment.

The Programme Manager will be responsible for raising the profile of St Georges Hall through a high calibre and varied professional events programme, whilst also developing community links and attracting local hirers / events organisers to use the venue. They will establish and maintain strong relationships with major promoters and agents, negotiating deals and dates for the Council and ensuring a diverse range of activities that will appeal to different audience sectors.

They will lead on the development of programming policies, hire structures, terms and conditions, contracting issues and administrative procedures within the programming department, also working on events programming for Kings Hall Ilkley, the Studio and other venues as required.

The successful candidate will be self motivated, an excellent communicator and keen advocate of all forms of live entertainment.

Educated to degree / NVQ 4 level, the Programme Manager will have three years experience of

programming, management or administration within a large scale theatre, concert hall, booking agency

or major production company, plus a further two years of programming or arts management experience

including negotiating with agents and promoters.
