Are you looking for a challenge in your Next HR Role

This is an exciting time to join our organisation. We want our region to be recognised globally as a strong, successful economy where everyone can build great businesses, careers and lives. The West Yorkshire Combined Authority brings together local councils and businesses to achieve this vision, so that everyone can benefit from economic prosperity and a modern, accessible transport network.

We are looking to recruit 2 HR Advisors into the team to support the organisation through a period of change. The HR team has recently been restructured and is implementing a business partner operating model. The Advisors will have an integral role in supporting our business directorates in progressing their strategic and operational HR objectives, working closely with the HR Business Partners to move the HR agenda forward.

The role has a generalist focus and will involve reviewing and revising core HR and employment practices and processes ensuring they meet the needs of the business going forward, rolling these out across the organisation and embedding our values and behaviours, as well as supporting on cases and key projects.

West Yorkshire Combined Authority’s aim is to attract people from diverse backgrounds building an inclusive culture, we welcome applications from everyone regardless of age, race, gender, religion or beliefs, disability, gender identity or sexual orientation. In return we can offer a flexible and encouraging environment that will allow you to achieve your best work/life balance and career goals; with a range of benefits including a local government career average pension scheme and a fully funded travel MCard (zone 1-5). We are committed to enabling working parents to progress their careers and will consider requests for flexible working patterns and job share arrangements.

Please note: Whilst it is our policy to recruit at SP1 for all appointments, each role has career salary progression, with incremental increases applicable in most cases on an annual basis.
