SEND Children's Participation Officer

SO1/SO2: £32,076 - £36,648 per annum

1 x 37 hours per week

The SEND family of services need a SEND Children and Young People Participation Officer to support work with Children and Young People. This key role in the SEND group will help to develop participation models across the SEND Partnership for Children and Young People, work with schools to develop a Democratic Model for SEND and promote and support the development of Children’s rights and welfare.

Above all, we are looking to find the ‘right' person who will become a valued part of our SEND services to help us take the nest steps in our improvement journey for supporting children and families.

Key purpose of post:

• To support the development of social participation models for children and young people in Bradford.
• To work with schools, and other agencies to manage the democratic models of engagement with children and young people as part of a forward plan of democracy.
• To work in partnership with other agencies to support the development and implementation of Childrens rights and welfare across the Local Area for SEND.
