Age 16/17 -  Year 1 - £9,070   pa - Year 2 - £14,264 pa (pro rata)

Age 18 +  -   Year 1 - £13,193 pa - Year 2 - £15,942 pa (pro rata)

 

9 x 37 hours per week

Based at Britannia House, Hall Ings, Bradford, BD1 1HX

 

The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers, Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016, requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.

 

The criteria under special knowledge and experience on the job profile which is shown in this advert, outlines what level of fluency you will be expected to demonstrate.  Therefore, it is essential that you provide examples in your application.

 

 

The Department of Corporate Services has an exciting development and qualification opportunity. They are looking for 9 enthusiastic, competent and flexible applicants for apprenticeships within the Revenues, Benefits and Payroll service. The successful applicants will have a positive and engaging attitude as well as demonstrating responsibility. 

 

The apprentice will follow a customised programme of training relating to the role and achieve the appropriate skills, competencies and qualifications of the role by the end of the training programme.

 

We are looking for individuals who are committed to undertaking an Advanced Level (3) Apprenticeship in Public Services Operational Delivery

 

To qualify for the apprenticeship you must have GCSE Maths and English at Grades A-C or a minimum of Level 1 or above in Maths and English.  An assessment will take place before the interview stage.

Bradford Council will provide you with the working environment, training and the range of job activities for you to complete your full apprenticeship and all training will be provided within work’s time.

The following special knowledge apply to this post:- 

 

  • Due to the Governments Fluency in English Duty for posts where employees speak directly to members of the public the post holder is required to meet the Lower threshold level (See Job Profile for further information).
  • Able to interpret detailed technical information and communicate information accurately both face to face and by telephone.
  • Has the ability to effectively use a range of complex IT packages which will include bespoke IT systems used by service as well as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Is able to respect confidential information and not disclose it inappropriately to others.
  • Ability to adopt a process of continual improvement and suggest ways of working more efficiently and effectively to improve service delivery.
  • Is able to question/challenge to gather information.
  • Able to cope with difficult and stressful situations.
