Band PO1– 2: £29,323 - £33,437 pa

The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers, Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016, requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced individual to develop a specialist analysis and intelligence function to directly support the Council’s housing services and future housing strategies. To succeed in the post, you will need to be skilled in collating and interpreting complex information, working under your own initiative and project managing research and strategy projects.

 

The postholder will:

 

  • Provide intelligence and policy review support to the Council’s housing-related functions

 

  • Collate, develop and publish robust data, information and intelligence resources to inform policy and service improvements

 

  • Analyse the impact of legislative and market changes, and provide advice and briefings to senior officers, Members and partners on such impacts

 

  • Carry out needs analyses, research programmes, customer consultation and strategy reviews

 

  • Support the work of partners and partnerships associated with housing.

 

The successful candidate will have:

 

  • A minimum of 3 year’s public sector experience working in the role of data / information / intelligence officer or similar, together with experience in using spreadsheets, databases and mapping software for the purpose of policy review or analysis

 

  • Qualification of minimum NQF Level 5, or significant experience to demonstrate equivalent level of research and analysis skills
