The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers, Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.

 

The criteria under special knowledge and experience on the job profile which is shown in this advert outlines what level of fluency you will be expected to demonstrate.  Therefore, it is essential that you provide examples in your application.

 

An exciting opportunity to join the curatorial team at Bradford Museums and Galleries as an Assistant Curator. The post involves the care, documentation, display, interpretation and research of Museum collections and Archives to ensure their accessibility and relevance to the Bradford and district community.

 

The ideal candidate will have a background in Museum work, with knowledge of SPECTRUM museum standards and experience of using Museum specific databases, preferably MODES. Some experience of producing exhibitions or displays, and of some public presentation skills are also required.

 

An ability to deal with often complex and large volumes of detailed information is a must. A knowledge and interest in Industrial and Social History would also be of great advantage.
