Finance Officer (Theatres)

Band 6 - £18,672 – £20,541 (pro rata for part time hours)

15 hours per week Monday & Tuesday (or 14.5hrs if Thursday & Friday)

Bradford Theatres has an excellent opportunity for an outstanding candidate to be part of our Performance Development Team.

We are looking for a candidate that has a proven track record in a similar financial setting, being able to work in a small team environment and be able to work strictly within Council procedures.

The post is varied working with the finance & performance team and entails, completion of show accounts and invoice generation for Hires, processing of orders, journals and reconciliation of transactions to S.A.P. the Council’s Financial Management System, monitoring budgets for various departments and forecasting income and expenditure for the various venues operated by Bradford Theatres.

You will maintain computerised and manual systems for recording information and produce statistical analysis, spreadsheets and reports for budget meetings.

• You must be IT literate and have good communication skills
• You will need to demonstrate a high level of numeracy, literacy and accuracy to be able to process and reconcile show/hire accounts.
• You must be able to work to tight deadlines, be able to work under pressure and with a degree of independence and own initiative
• Have experience of financial coding systems within a large organisation and a good understanding of Financial Regulations and Standing Orders for procurement.

Unless you can demonstrate 5 years working knowledge or previous experience in a financial environment you should have 3 GCSE’ s including English & Mathematics or NVQ3 equivalent qualification in Business & Finance and at least 2 year’s experience of working in a financial administration environment.
