Collections Manager (Maternity Cover)

PO3  £35,745 - £38,890 pa  (Pro rata for Part Time Posts)

1 x 37 hours per week

The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers, Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.

The criteria under special knowledge and experience on the job profile which is shown in this advert outlines what level of fluency you will be expected to demonstrate.  Therefore, it is essential that you provide examples in your application.

Bradford District Museums and Galleries requires a dynamic, committed individual to provide Maternity Cover for the Collections Manager. This is a key role, a member of the Management Team and an important strategic leader for the collections and their importance at a time of change and great potential for the Service. We are looking for someone who combines collections knowledge, experience of Accreditation and up to date good collections management practice, with core management competencies. These include performance management, effective communication and decision making, problem solving, strategic awareness, leadership, team and people development, and project and programme delivery. Above all, you must be clear about the inclusive benefits collections can deliver for our communities and users, and the importance of collections care.
