Youth Support Worker (part-time)

GRADES:  JNC 2- 5 unqualified, (£15,807 to £17,491) (pro rata for part time posts)
                  JNC 7-10 qualified £18,636 to £20,677) (pro rata for part time posts)

9 x 6 hours per week (Established)

To be based at various locations within the Bradford district
 

The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers, Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016, requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying  for customer  facing  posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.

The criteria under Special Knowledge and Experience on the Job Profile, which is shown in this advert, outlines what level of fluency you will be expected to demonstrate.  Therefore, it is essential that you provide examples in your application.

The Youth Service delivers approximately 90 sessions of youth work each week across all 30 Wards within the Bradford District.

We are looking to recruit to a number of vacancies to support the delivery of these youth work sessions. We are looking for youth workers who can engage positively with young people and deliver quality youth work. We can offer further training to suitable applicants.

We are seeking to recruit enthusiastic people:

• To initiate and develop relationships with 11 – 19 year olds and up to 25 year olds for young people with disabilities.
• To work directly with young people to enable them to broaden their horizons and engage in positive activities
• To design and develop youth work responses underpinned by the Youth Service cornerstones of Equality, Participation,

Education and Empowerment and the 5 Every Child matters Outcomes.
