Grade: JNC 12-15: £22,665 - £25,446 pa (Pro-rata for Part-Time posts)

To be based at various locations within the Bradford district


The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers, Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016, requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.

 

The criteria under Special Knowledge and Experience on the Job Profile, which is shown in this advert, outlines what level of fluency you will be expected to demonstrate.  Therefore, it is essential that you provide examples in your application.

 

 

You must be able to deliver a high level Youth Work.

 

You should have experience of developing youth work for young people aged 11-19.  You will be able to initiate new work.

 

The ideal candidate will:

 

  • design and develop youth work responses underpinned by the 4 cornerstones of youth work (Equality, Education, Empowerment and Participation) and informed by the strategic objectives of the council.
  • initiate and develop work with 13–19 year olds (up to 25 for young people with disabilities).
  • work directly with young people to enable them to broaden their horizons and engage in positive activities.
  • supervise and support a small staff team of paid and volunteer staff.

 

Applicants must have at least 2 years’ experience of working delivering youth work.
