The Commissioning Team in Children’s Services is seeking to recruit 1 Commissioning Manager.
The role is to lead and deliver an area of the commissioning program for Children’s Services, co-ordinating activities and the practical application of lessons learnt and be a key part of the development and delivery of the Commissioning approach across Children’s Services. Using a range of project management approaches to deliver pieces of Commissioning work at a Principal Officer level.
You will identify, share and use appropriate tools and practice to identify and quantify need, designing suitable mechanisms to measure impact. Working closely with colleagues across Children’s Services and in other departments to understand and act on the concerns and areas for development to ensure good quality service provision is commissioned. The post is critical to the development of an agile Commissioning Service and you will be expected to work across a number of project areas.
Do you meet the following?
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a role which includes a significant level of Commissioning activities.
- Experience of analysing information for meaning, quality and implication and developing reports and recommendations that have resulted in commissioning of high quality services.
- Experience of leading and managing projects, supporting an end to end commissioning process.
- Experience of working in a project-led environment and using appropriate project techniques
- Experience of working in a multi-agency environment and forging productive working relationships with senior officers, partners and business organisations. Strong communication skills with the ability form positive relationships
- Have the ability to work within and contribute to a team
- Have the ability to write clear, concise robust reports.
- Have a flexible approach when need arises.
