The West Yorkshire Combined Authority is seeking to appoint a Contracts and Framework Manager. This newly created post will have the opportunity to work within a new procurement team, leading on the management of key contracts and framework agreements. The role will also include leading on strategies to embed contract management within the organisation whilst assisting to develop and improve the procurement function.
The authority is seeking an experienced, confident, self-motivated and ambitious procurement professional who will drive innovation, improve ways of working and be at the forefront of our commercial relationships with our suppliers, internal customers and wider stakeholders.
The team we are establishing will undertake some of the most innovative and critical procurement work in the region. The successful individual has the opportunity to work alongside local and national partners at a city regional level, and to contribute to a developing and influential public sector organisation.
The Contracts & Framework Managers key responsibilities will include:
· Leading on management of key contracts and frameworks to ensure effective service delivery.
· Providing support and guidance around contract management and contract variation processes and options.
· Ensuring compliance to EU and UK procurement legislation
· Providing coaching and training in specialist areas of contract management
· Implementing procurement strategies and policies including Inclusive Growth and Social Value.
