This is an exciting opportunity to undertake a key role in managing the Community Care Administration function for the Department of Health and Wellbeing.

This area covers:

  • Contracts and payments for Nursing, Residential, Respite, Direct Payments and ISF’s
  • Auditing of Direct Payments on behalf of the Local Authority and the Local CCG’s.
  • Client Financial Assessments and Welfare Benefits service
  • Charging and Payments for all Non Residential services
  • To manage the personal affairs of up to 450 service users as Deputy or Appointee
  • Financial Forecasting for purchased care.

 

The successful candidate will manage a number of teams of staff to ensure the effective monitoring and evaluation of a quality provision whilst promoting best practice by maintaining systems/procedures for managing the performance.

The post holder will work in collaboration with colleagues within Health and Wellbeing and the Local CCG’S to inform financial and system decisions in order to meet the overall objectives of the Department.

 

The post holder will provide professional advice to Managers on all aspects of Community Care Administration in relation to the Department of Health and Wellbeing.

  •  The post holder will have more than five years’ experience in a major service environment providing key support in Community Care Administration.
  • They will have experience leading the work of professional staff developing and implementing corporate strategies and policies.
  • They will have extensive experience of instigating and managing change.
  • They will have experience of operating in a performance management environment.
  • They will have a record of developing effective partnerships both internally and with external bodies.
  • Leading work in a financial environment and developing effective links with budget holders and senior managers.

 

Qualifications

 

Degree, professional qualification in a relevant field, or additional 3 years at

Senior Management level.
