The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers, Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.

The criteria under special knowledge and experience on the job profile which is shown in this advert outlines what level of fluency you will be expected to demonstrate.  Therefore, it is essential that you provide examples in your application.

West Yorkshire Pension Fund (WYPF) is one of the UK’s biggest pension funds with assets of over £15bn and is actively managed by the internal investment team.

Based in Bradford, WYPF provides the Local Government Pension Scheme to over 470 employers and 291,000 members.

To maintain and develop our position within the UK pension industry we are now looking to appoint two Assistant Investment Analysts to assist the Chief Investment Officers for UK and Overseas assets in the provision of a high quality investment management service. You will provide analysis and support to the investment team with a particular emphasis on researching UK or overseas equities, bonds and related investment vehicles, and to assist with other duties as required.  The successful candidate will be expected to study for a relevant professional qualification such as the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) for which support will be given.

You will have:

• A full AAT qualification, or
• Relevant university degree, or
• Is actively studying for a recognised CCAB qualification or recognised Stock Market qualification (e.g. Chartered Financial Analyst, Member of IIMR, Member of Securities Institute)
