The Public and Forensic Science Centre is a facility operated by Bradford Council on behalf of HM Coroner (for the local authority areas of Bradford, Kirklees and Calderdale). It provides state of the art mortuary and forensic post mortem facilities and is able to undertake non-invasive scans to seek to determine cause of death. We are looking for an experienced manager and qualified anatomical pathology technician who will be responsible for all aspects of the day to day management and development of this facility, including financial management. The post holder will also ensure compliance with the HTA licence, plan work programmes, liaise with coroners, pathologists, police, bereaved families and undertakers.
The Council’s imaging autopsy centre is the first local authority facility in the country and we are proud of pioneering this innovation. The Centre works in close partnership with the local community to ensure that the needs of all communities are met.
