Bradford Theatres has an excellent opportunity for an outstanding candidate to lead and manage our Food & Beverage services across four venues:

 

The Alhambra Theatre is  a 1450 seated venue.  We have a 100 cover restaurant, a VIP bar, two other bars, a light bites ‘café’ and on regular occasions host and present a number of drinks and food for high profile events on special evenings for promoters and visiting companies.

 

St Georges Concert Hall, 1374 seats / 1500 standing, is one of the best acoustic concert venues in the UK and ranks extremely highly in Europe’s magnificent cache of Concerts Halls.  It has four bars and a 60 cover restaurant and on reopening after a two year refurbishment may also offer a day time food and beverage service.

 

The Studio Venue is a 250 seated capacity versatile multi-functional space capable of accepting a myriad of uses,. The Studio has its own commercial kitchen and can catering up to 200 covers.

 

Finally the Kings Hall – Winter Garden in Ilkley, a 500 seated theatre & wedding and functions events venue (250 dining capacity) having two side by side halls equally as multi functional as the Studio Theatre.two bars, a commercial kitchen and can cater for up to 250 covers.

 

We are looking for a candidate that has a proven track record in a similar entertainment setting or a significantly large hospitality environment, who has excellent people management experience including mentoring and training staff, performance management and taking responsibility for resources within a large catering environment.

 

We are looking for strong commercial and business acumen, including financial and analytical skills including effective management of budgets and creation and analysis of reports, ideally with experience of managing and leading multiple sites with multiple service points of both food and drink.  The successful candidate must have extensive operational knowledge of EPOS till systems to include stock usage, reports & reporting and be familiar with the back office ‘package’

 

The successful applicant would be expected to develop and implement venue-wide strategies that deliver products and services to meet & exceed the needs and expectations of the Theatres target customers and provides a return on investment, achieving income targets and hitting GP’s monthly.   Focuses on growing revenues and maximizing the financial performance of the department.

 

In return we understand the importance of a work life balance which is often difficult to find in the hospitality industry.  We offer a 37 hour working week working 5 days out of 7,  on most Sundays we do not operate, no split shifts and a competitive salary.
