Bradford Theatres has a vacancy opportunity for a 4th Visitor Experience Manager to work alongside three other VEM’s (all reporting to our Senior VE Manager).  The primary purpose of this position is to co-lead customer services in our portfolio of high profile venues: St Georges Concert Hall is one of the best acoustic concert venues in the UK; The Alhambra Theatre is a 1450 seated theatre, and is regarded as one of the top UK receiving theatres; The Studio Venue is a 250 capacity versatile multi-functional space. In addition, the position may involve occasional work at the Kings Hall & Winter Garden in Ilkley, a 500 seated theatre, & wedding and functions, events venue (250 dining capacity).

 

We are looking for a candidate that has worked in a similar live entertainment setting or a significantly medium to large hospitality or cultural – heritage site / environment, or a front facing role delivering the highest standards of customer care to a large number of visitors.

 

The successful candidate will have experience of mentoring and training staff and ensuring that the standards of service delivered by the team exceed expectations at all times. In addition to this an understanding of current Health and Safety legislation relating to the provision of safe occupancy & visitor wellbeing is desirable. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an understanding of safe working practices, and have previous experience of working in a customer focused environment giving examples at interview of dealing successfully with the opportunities and challenges this brings.

 

We will expect the VE Manager to work with the Senior VE Manager to assist in achieving income targets, GPs and staffing targets.  He/she will also ideally have experience and knowledge of stock control methods.
