Are you a confident communications professional who can build partnerships with key influencers and decision-makers?

 

We are seeking a highly motivated candidate with excellent communications skills who can build and maintain relationships which help the Combined Authority deliver its ambitions.

The successful candidate will be expected to devise, plan and deliver public affairs and communications plans which complement and support the broader work of the communications and marketing team in explaining the work of the Combined Authority to the public, partners, media and Government. This exciting and demanding role requires a candidate who can identify the individuals, influencers and organisations with whom the Combined Authority can work for the benefit of the Leeds City Region.

With a comprehensive understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing the organisation, the holder of this post will work with external affairs colleagues to raise the status and profile of the Combined Authority within the Leeds City Region and promote its voice as part of the national conversation to help shape national policy decisions which have significant regional impacts.

This is a varied role which will suit a flexible individual, proficient at managing multiple projects and working with a range of partners.

Key requirements:

•      Understand the complex public and policy environment in which the Combined Authority operates.

•      Experience of executing structured and carefully targeted public affairs and communications plans to achieve corporate goals.

•      Ability and confidence to brief senior figures both within and outside the organisation.

•      Capable of working flexibly and collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary communications and marketing team.

•      Experience of working successfully in a partnership environment.

 

Corporate Communications and Engagement

 

Are you a confident professional with experience across the full range of communications and marketing activities with a particular flair for producing engaging digital content?

 

We are seeking a highly motivated candidate with outstanding digital marketing skills who can creatively communicate the work we do to a broad range of audiences including local residents, businesses within and outside the region, central government, young people and international investors.

 

The successful candidate will be expected to devise, plan and execute innovative multi-channel communications and marketing campaigns, which will contribute towards the Combined Authority’s ambition of transforming our region’s economy and transport system for the benefit of everyone who lives and works here.

 

With expertise in digital technologies and outstanding social media skills, you will work with colleagues across the Communications and Marketing team to develop effective two-way digital channels that complement and support the full breadth of the Combined Authority’s work. You will produce engaging content across the full range of digital and off-line channels to raise the profile of the organisation and the Leeds City Region locally, nationally and internationally.

 

This is a varied role which will suit an ambitious, results-focused individual, proficient at managing multiple projects and working flexibly with a range of partners.

 

Key requirements:

  • Significant experience of devising and executing multi-channel communications and marketing plans to achieve business goals
  • A passion for digital marketing, with expertise in developing effective channels and creative, engaging content tailored to a range of different audiences
  • Expertise in digital technologies, including website content management systems, social media and email marketing tools
  • The ability and confidence to advise and manage relationships with senior figures within and outside the organisation
  • Experience of working successfully in a fast-paced partnership environment
  • Capable of working flexibly and collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary communications and marketing team, and of championing digital marketing innovation.
