CASUAL POOL LIFEGAURD

Valley View House Swimming Pool, Lister Lane, Bradford BD2 4LL

£7.90 per hour 

Various Casual Posts available based on a rota basis.

Duties include: Responsible to the Duty Person on a daily basis for the day to day operations which will include the cleaning inside and outside of the facility, general control and patrol of the facilities, i.e. changing areas, swimming pool. Also the successful applicant will be required to set up, dismantle, move and store equipment and will also have an overview of customer safety, discipline and well-being, customer service, prevention of injury and misuse/damage of the facility.

The Short Breaks Swimming pool is a facility for families and young people with disabilities in Bradford aged 8 years to 18 years. Our young people and families, find accessing mainstream facilities difficult.

The pool will be used by a number of charity organisations, school groups, health providers and private hire clientele. Therefore the age, range and variety of service users will greatly vary.

When required the Short Breaks Swimming Pool will have a full support from the Specialist Inclusion Project Support Staff. This support enables practical help with changing, and other barriers that young people and families have identified as barriers that prevent them from accessing swimming.

If you feel you have what it takes, enjoy meeting and working with the public and can provide the highest standards of service then we would like to hear from you.

You must have: Current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification and basic First Aid Qualification.  

Desirable: Pool Plant qualification, or knowledge of pool water testing processes.

The Short Breaks Service takes an open and positive stance on child protection.

Appointment to this post is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS disclosure check being received.
