The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers, Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.

We are seeking to appoint a Specialist Officer Team Leader with significant experience, knowledge and skills within SEND. As well as experience of leading a team and managing the performance of staff. As the Specialist Officer Team Leader, you will be an integral part of the SCIL leadership team alongside Team Leads for Early Years (EYs), Communication and Interaction (C&I), Learning Support (LS) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH).

You will lead a team of Access and Inclusion Officers (AIO) and Specialist Practitioners (SP) in order to facilitate the delivery of the SCIL Team offer to schools and settings.

The aim of the SCIL Team is: “To offer a flexible and responsive service, supporting schools and PVI settings to better understand and meet the needs of children and young people across Bradford in order to improve outcomes and life chances”.
