Enablement Assistant (Qualified)

Band 5:  £21,189 - £21,968 pa (FTE pro rata for part time posts)

Shifts vary across evening, weekdays and weekends.

Our Department of Adult Social Care at Bradford Council has an exciting opportunity for an Enablement Support Worker. As a multi-disciplinary team, our teams collaborate and work independently, in the community, at a person's home, at a Resource Centre or at an Extra Care setting across the district. Service delivery across the district must be flexible and confident. People with a passion for equality and human rights and diversity are needed to assist people with their daily routines, promote confidence, and encourage new skills.

 

As part of the holder's responsibilities, you will be responsible for maintaining professional standards, ensuring:

 

Assisting people in making life-enhancing choices. Ability to cope with challenging situations/environments emotionally.

Assisting with daily activities such as eating, drinking, and nutrition. Compassion and dignity are fully reflected in personal hygiene, which includes washing, dressing, and continence requirements.

Supporting infection control, mobility, environment, including the use of assistive technology, aids, and adaptations for independence according to Health & Safety governance.

Working with colleagues to support people's health and wellbeing by monitoring and recording oxygen levels, blood pressure, temperatures, pulses, etc.

Maintaining a high standard of accurate reading, recording, reporting, and communication with attention to detail.

Deliver health & wellbeing services effectively using technology. Supporting people's independence enhances social interaction within their communities and stimulates stimulation.
